General Use of the Site and Agreement to these Terms.

Please read these Terms of Use carefully as they govern our mutual rights and responsibilities when you use the resources and services provided by The Student Life Network.

  1. These Terms of Use, and our Privacy Policy (which is incorporated into these terms of use), apply to all activities on the Site and all of our contest sites.
  2. When you become a registered user, when you click on the “I Accept Terms of Use” button, you signify that you have read, understand, and agree to these terms and conditions.
  3. Unless otherwise agreed to, you are subject to these terms of use, and any additional terms that may apply. These additional terms, if any, will be available through the Site. These terms create a legal agreement between you and the Site and supersede any prior agreements between you and the Site.
  4. By accessing this Site, you agree that you are a registered student, Canadian citizen, have only one Student Life Network account, and that you will comply with applicable laws (including, but not limited to, libel and obscenity), assume responsibility for your activities, agree not to harass, disrupt, abuse, or invade the privacy rights of others.
  5. By joining the Student Life Network, you are giving us permission to contact you about future contests, promotions and offers until you inform us otherwise. You may opt out of these communications on our site or by sending a letter to our office.
  6. We may revise or change these terms as necessary or appropriate; the most current version will always be available for users to view on the Site.

Privacy Policy

1. Privacy Philosophy and General Terms.

The Student Life Network understands the importance of your privacy rights. We are committed to transparency and disclosure of the ways in which we use personal and non-personal information. Our goal is to be as minimally intrusive as possible, but also to be transparent about the way we do use your information and to educate the users of our Site about the ways in which websites actually utilize personal and non-personal information and to locate our practices within that broader context.

Some material you submit to the Site, your name and email, is searchable in order for your friends to connect with you and designate you as a prize winner.

While the remainder of your information is kept private, there are specific situations in which this information is released to a third party. If you opt in to a prize or offer offered by a third party, you may be asked for specific permission to provide specific information to the third party. If you grant this permission, your information may be shared.

In addition, non personally identifying information may be released in aggregate to third parties in our course of soliciting prizing and offers. This information will never identify you or your data personally.

On our site there may be links to independent web sites outside of the Student Life Network and we are not responsible for the privacy policies of other web sites.

We will take all reasonable measures to protect the integrity of private communication on the Site. However even protected sites can be subject to illegal hacking, technological glitches, user misconduct, and administrative errors, and we assume no liability for any of these actions or occurrences or their results.

2. Information We Gather, IP Address and Cookies.

The Student Life Network uses cookies to obtain non-personal information from visitors, to provide customization options at login, or to keep track of where you are in the Site in order to provide the correct customization options when you use the Site.

We do not retain or make available any personal data, except that which you actually post for public view or agree to share with third parties.

The Student Life Network uses your IP address to help diagnose technology-related problems with the Site, administer the Site, and monitor Site usage. The Student Life Network also may combine your IP address with other information to create anonymous Site statistics. The Student Life Network does not use your IP address or cookies to collect personally identifiable information about you.

3. Security.

We have security measures in place for this Site to protect it against loss, corruption and alteration of the information under our control.
